Clovis police responded Wednesday afternoon to the 200 block of Olive to take a report of missing jewelry. According to police reports, two women’s diamond rings, a man’s diamond ring, and a silver jewelry box worth a total of $4,600 were missing from the residence. The man’s ring has a gold band with a diamond cluster on the top. One of the women’s rings is a white gold wedding band with three big and three small diamonds; the other is a yellow gold ring with an oval-shaped diamond cluster.

A Lubbock man staying in a Clovis hotel called Clovis police to report that he found a $2,200 ring missing from his hotel room when he returned to his room on Wednesday evening. According to police reports, the ring is a 14-karat gold band approximately 7-8 millimeters wide, with three half-karat diamonds. The hotel room door had been propped open by the latch hook.

Accusations that a Clovis man smashed his wife’s finger with a door on Thursday evening led to the husband’s arrest for battery on a household member. When police arrived, they found that the husband was drunk, had smashed holes in the walls, and had been arguing with his wife over him using the car after he had been drinking.

Clovis police are looking for the person who shot through windows at a Clovis school. Police responded late Thursday night to a report of objects hitting the side windows of the school and found damage consistent with damage from a BB gun or pellets shot from an air rifle or pistol.

Police responded Friday morning to a burglary report in the 1800 block of Debra. According to police reports, a pry bar or screwdriver was used to enter a storage shed used to store a red lawn mower. The owner reported the lawn mower was stolen but no other items were missing.
