Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kenna Community Church.
Ms. Dot Davis, 74, of Kenna, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
She was born on March 29, 1929, in Portales, to Irene and Ed Denton.
She grew up in Kenna and received most of her schooling in Elida. She graduated from Clovis High School in 1947. After graduation she returned to Kenna where she helped her parents in the operation of their store and ranch. She married Sonny Davis in 1954. They lived in Levelland, Texas, for a short time, but returned to Kenna to help her parents with their businesses. She retired in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by two daughters, Trudi Davis of Kenna and Debi Allison of Ruidoso; a grandchild, Dana Leah Allison of Arvada, Colo.; and a sister, Chris Moorhead of Roswell.
Visitation is scheduled from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Wheeler Mortuary in Portales.
The Rev. Bob Bell will officiate the services, assisted by Gary Good.
A private family burial will take place prior to the memorial services.
Honorary pallbearers will be her family and friends.
Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales.
