Mrs. Pauline P. Villa, 77, of Clovis, a cook, died Friday, May 9, 2003, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born on Jan. 26, 1926, in Fort Sumner to Jose and Isabell Garcia Pacheco. She married Gilbert Villa on April 7, 1942, in Clovis.
She was a cook at the Hotel Clovis, Snazzy Pig, Silver Grill, Copper Penny and the China Inn. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Family members say she adored her family, loved spending time with her grandchildren, working in her garden, winning Bingo and cooking for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert, in 1991; her parents; and two sons, Gilbert and Paul.
Survivors include her longtime companion, Victor Carrasco; three sons, Eddie (and wife Thelma), Raymond (and wife Nora) and Richard, all of Clovis; six daughters, Teresa (and husband Jerry) Caballero, Virginia Lopez (and fiance Elfren Lucero) and Vanessa (and husband Daniel) Sepulbeda, all of Clovis, Linda (and husband Javier) Gonzales of El Paso, Texas, Mary Lou (and husband Daniel) Gurule of Las Vegas, N.M., and Rosita Chavez of Las Vegas, N.M.; one brother, Monico Pacheco of Clovis; two sisters, Martina Gallegos of Amarillo and Anna Archuleta of Fort Sumner; 30 grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
The Rev. Sotero Sena will officiate the services.
Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.
Pallbearers will be Gilbert Graue, Javier Gonzales, Michael Sepulbeda, Nick V. Lopez and Toby, Eddie Jr., George and Conrad Villa.
Honorary pallbearers are Balentin and Balente Caballero.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
