Bovina notches shutout

AMARILLO — Jonathan Chisom rushed for 211 yards and two touchdowns and Bovina posted its second-straight shutout on the road by beating Trinity Fellowship 22-0.
Chisom scored on runs of 80 and 57 yards in the first quarter as the Mustangs (2-1) jumped out to a 12-0 first-quarter lead before the offense bogged down.
Jeff Casas scored on a 6-yard run in the fourth quarter for Bovina, which also recorded two quarterback sacks for safeties.
The Mustangs finished with 376 total yards, but was hurt by 125 yards in penalties.
