ALBUQUERQUE — Northern Colorado got three goals in a span of less than six minutes early in the first half and went on to beat Eastern New Mexico University 5-1 on Sunday in a women’s soccer match played at the University of New Mexico.
Kady Hydrick scored unassisted for the Bears (3-3-1) in the 10th minute, and teammates Raegan McHugh and Chelsey Ekenberg added goals to make it 3-0 with just under 15 minutes gone.
ENMU (1-3) got on the board about eight minutes later when Erin Armstrong scored off assists from Pam Campbell and Amy Barbour, but UNC tallied late in the period and led 4-1 at halftime.
