Mr. Edward David Sena, 53, of Santa Rosa, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque.
He was born on Sept. 21, 1950, in Fort Sumner, to the home of Roman T. and Faviola Gauna Sena.
He attended school in Fort Sumner. He worked in auto-body repair for several years. He was a jeweler, an artist, and a musician who played lead guitar and the harmonica. He suffered from polio from age 3. He attended the Assembly of God Church and the Church on the Hill.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Gwen Sena; his paternal grandparents, Jose and Estefanita Sena; his maternal grandparents, Emiliano and Claudita Gauna; and two brothers-in-law, George Ortega and Larry Roybal Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Gino Sena of Lubbock and Christian Sena of Midland, Texas; his parents; two brothers, James Dunn (and wife, Esther) of Fort Sumner and Jesse Sena (Vivian) of Clovis; six sisters, Dolores Ortega and Reba Casaus (Rudy), all of Santa Rosa, Ruby Gonzales (George) of Fort Sumner, Angie Mares (Mariano) and Lucy Roybal (Rafael), all of Roswell and Jean Chavez (Paul) of Albuquerque; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Anna Teeter will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Fort Sumner Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Chavez, Larry Roybal, James Dunn, Gino, Christian and Jesse Sena.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. today at Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner.
