Tommie Marino, 72, of Clovis, died Oct. 31, 2003, at her home in Clovis.
She was born March 7, 1931, in Gill, Colo., to Jose and Della Lopez Gallegos. She was a lifetime resident of Clovis. She married Joe D. Marino on Oct. 7, 1951, in Clovis. She worked in the Clovis Municipal Schools cafeteria system. Family members said she loved dancing, music, bingo and cooking. She received a jewelers’ certificate when her husband was stationed in Germany.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Debra Ann Marino; her parents; three brothers, Joe , Nick, and Fred; and two sisters, Bertha and Rosa.
Survivors include a son, Ray (and wife, Rosa) Marino of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Marissa Adella Marino of Clovis; three grandchildren, Michael Romero, Kristina Romero, and Michelle Marino; a great-grandson, Damyon Marino; four sisters, Cleo Castillo, Carolyn Griego, Julia Molina, and Ramona Martinez, all of Clovis; and a brother, Henry Gallegos of Clovis.
A Rosary will be held Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Father Sotero Sena will officiate the Monday service with burial following at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ernie Griego, Anthony Ulibarri, Brad Gallegos, Michael Romero, Richard Gallegos, and Joe Gallegos.
