Mr. Clement Frank “Jim” Miller, 71, of Clovis died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center.
He was born on Feb. 13, 1932, in Toronto, Canada, to Clement and Gwendoline Clark Miller.
A communications supervisor for the U.S. Air Force from 1951 until 1971, he received a BA degree in sociology in 1976, and was a zone manager for Circle K Corporation, operating nine stores, from 1976 to 1981, when he came to Clovis. He married Dorothy Malsom on May 22, 1982, in Clovis. He was an employment interviewer for the New Mexico Department of Labor from 1989 to 2003, and was a life member of VFW 3280 and a member of American Legion, St. James Episcopal Church and Clovis Depot Model Train Museum.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Norman Miller.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Terry Miller of Portland, Ore.; five stepsons, Gary, Darryle, Duane, Bruce, and Bryce Bender; a brother, Robin Miller of Michigan; and a sister, Fran McAlister of Cambridge, Md.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The Rev. John Rollinson will officiate the services.
Cremation has taken place.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Model Train Club and VFW.
Full military honors will be provided by the Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Clovis Depot Model Train Museum, engine moving fund.
