Police Blotter 1/16

Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

A Clovis junior high vice principal called police about 9 a.m. on Jan. 9 to report that a battery had occurred shortly before Christmas break.
A 15-year-old student advised police that he had been hearing rumors around school that he was going to get “jumped” for reporting an incident that led to the arrest of another student, and on Dec. 18 was punched in the side of his face by a fellow student. Police contacted the other student’s mother who asked if he had apologized; police told her he had not. The second student said he had hit the first student because he had “ratted” on a friend.
