Erma Louise Benham Strickler, 81, of Clovis, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2003, at her home.
She was born on Nov. 13, 1922, in Montevideo, Minn., to Herbert A. and Mae Mitchell Benham.
She married Ivan Guy Strickler on Sept. 11, 1944, in Yuma, Ariz. They moved to Clovis in 1999. She was a housewife and attended Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a member of the TLC Quilters.
Family members said she loved to sew, quilt, cook, play cards and work crosswords and her favorite pastimes were flower and vegetable gardens and bird watching.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wesley Benham; two sisters, Ellen Schnitzler and an infant sister; and a daughter-in-law, Janet Strickler.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Dan Strickler of Garfield, Minn., V. Michael Strickler (and wife, Anita) of Glennwood, Minn. and Randal Strickler (Gail) of Clovis; two brothers, Roy Benham of Benson, Minn. and Leo Benham of Morris, Minn.; a sister-in-law, Bernice Denham of Benson, Minn.; four grandchildren, Stacie Olson (Kevin), Erin, Alana and Derrik Strickler; three great-grandchildren, Abigail and Samuel Olson and Lillian Strickler.
The Rev. Mark Marius will officiate the services.
Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren and the great-grandchidren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or a favorite charity.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
