William “Rex” Reccius, 84, of Aurora, Colo., formerly of Clovis, died Monday, April 5, 2004, at Hospice of Metro Denver in Aurora.
He was born on May 2, 1919, in Stratford, Texas.
He married Georgia Hilbert in January 1942, in Hooker, Okla. They moved to Clovis in 1947. After retiring from the Burroughs Corporation he went to work at First Federal. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Clovis where he was an honorary life deacon. He was also a lifetime member of the Plains Regional Medical Center Auxiliary’s Red Coats.
The family will receive friends at 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday at Steed-Todd Funeral Home in Clovis.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother, Lloyd Reccius.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Kapp (and husband, Dale) of Aurora; a son, Norman Reccius (Susan) of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; and two grandsons, Andrew and Benjamin Reccius.
Burial will be at Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery in Farwell.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
