Francisco H. “Roscoe” Romero, 73, of Clovis, a retired cook, died April 24, 2004, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
He was born on Sept. 17,1930, in Clovis, to Roman Sr. and Margarita Baca Romero.
He was a lifetime resident of Clovis and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community. He worked as a cook for Furr’s Cafeteria until his retirement.
He was preceded by his parents; two brothers, Eugenio and Guadalupe; two sisters, Isabell Romero and Angelina Chevez.
Survivors include a sister, Vicenta “Bessie” Sisneros of Clovis; five brothers, J.O. Romero (and wife, Rita), Lalo Romero (Jane) and Juan Romero (Christine), all of Albuquerque, Roman Jr. Romero (Stella) and Raymond Romero (Virginia), all of Clovis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Pallbearers are Robert Sisneros, Roman Romero III, Cipi Encinias, Orlando Bonney Jr., Christopher Hernandez, Eric Romero, Bobby Dean Kiddie and David Lopez III.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
