Ms. Guylinda Sue Faris, 67, of Clovis, a private childcare provider, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at Laurel Ridge Healthcare in Clovis.
She was born on March 25, 1937, in Clovis, to Guy Logan and Lois Faris.
In addition to private childcare, she worked in the nursery at Forrest Heights Baptist Church for 12 years and also had worked at several local day care facilities in the past. Her hobby was to lovingly help other people and never turned down an opportunity to give of herself when she saw someone in need. She had completed some training in social work and received certification. Family members said she enjoyed dancing, going to the movie theatre and telling jokes.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her twin brother, Lolinton Faris of Dallas; three children, James Pawol of Richland, Wash., Chris Pawol of Amarillo and Zena Davidson of Libertyville, Ill.; six grandchildren, Courtney, Aaron and Nicholas Pawol and Audrey, Sean and Faith Davidson; a nephew, Scott Faris (and wife, Lisa) and their children, Trent and Alexis; and cousins, Royce Christian of Clovis, Lou Ann Culley of Kansas, Carol Faris of Rio Rancho, Leon Faris of Lovington, John Culley of Canyon, Texas, and Clifton Faris of Albuquerque.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Forrest Heights Baptist Church in Clovis.
