Louise Fuller, 78, of Portales, died Sunday, May 23, 2004, at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales.
She was born on March 27, 1926, in Talpa, Texas, to Drusel and Eargle Berry.
She grew up in Runnels County, Texas, where she attended school. Upon graduation, she moved to Galveston, Texas, where she worked for the telephone company. She married E.A. Fuller on April 6, 1946, in Crews, Texas. They moved to Roosevelt County, where they were involved in farming and the dairy business. In the late 1950s they moved to Portales. She was a active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she served in the nursery and taught Sunday school. She had also served as a Scouting volunteer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill Berry; two sisters, Ruby and Ruth Berry; a great-grandchild, Neal Crowley; and by her husband.
Survivors include four sons, Thomas Fuller (and wife, Jean) of Wills Point, Texas, Darrell Fuller (Joy) of Idalou, Texas, Jeffery Fuller (Chris) of Poulsbo, Wash., and and Greg Fuller of Portales; three daughters, Becky McCauley (Ed) of Waco, Texas, Charlotte Gomez (Alfonso) of Portales and LaWanda Wortham (Rowdy) of Portales; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, Pete Berry of Clovis and Frank Berry of San Angelo, Texas; and two sisters, Evaneal Tolson and Martha Wilson, both of Portales.
The Rev. Walter Huber and Winston Berry will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Portales Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ed McCauley, Rowdy Wortham, Alfonso Gomez, Danny Crowley, Lonnie Berry and Danny and Ricky Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers are the Roosevelt General Hospital Nursing and ER Staffs.
