Benjamin W. “Mickey” Corsey Sr., 71, of Clovis, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at the V.A. Medical Center in Amarillo.
He was born on Sept. 5, 1932, in Woodbury, N.J., to William Washington and Idella Elizabeth Gibson Corsey.
He married Mary Ann Harth on July 8, 1976, in Hereford, Texas. He retired from Cannon Air Force Base in 1971 and was the owner of Corsey Motor Co. until 2002. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, New Mexico Independent Dealers Association and he loved collecting cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Garvin, Leslie, Roland, Frank and Wayne; and four sisters, Lavaughn, Janice, Jean and Gladys.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Benjamin Corsey Jr. (and wife, Ann) of Clovis, Ray Corsey and Tracy Corsey (Rene), all of Denver, Lt. Cmdr. Mike Corsey (Lisa) and Sgt. Darion Boone (Melissa), all of Washington, D.C., and Bart Corsey (Aurora) of Chicago; a daughter, Kimberly Henning (Bill) of Hartford, S.D.; a brother, William Corsey Jr. of Clovis; a sister, Blanche Pierce of Camden, N.J.; 25 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Jonathan Brock will officiate the services.
Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
Full military honors will be performed by the Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard.
Honorary pallbearers are fellow car dealers.
