Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

Police responded April 7 to the 400 block of Hickory Street in reference to a car that had crashed into a house.

According to police reports, a pedestrian had also been struck in the accident. Approaching the residence, the officer noted the victim’s legs were shaking rapidly. She told the officer that she had just been struck by a car.

The officer noted that she was exhibiting signs common to shock following a high-stress incident.

The incident followed an altercation at the residence, in which a male subject drove his truck into the victim’s car, which then rolled forward and struck her.

She told police her legs and lower back hurt.

Police responded April 8 to the 800 block of Townsgate Plaza for a breaking and entering report.

The female complainant said someone had cut a lock off her husband’s trailer and taken merchandise.

Police found no other trailers tampered with in the storage yard.

There were no footprints nor witnesses to the incident.

Police were dispatched April 8 to the 500 block of Wallace Street in reference to a male individual asleep in the front lawn of a residence.

Police made contact with the man, who was unresponsive. Police said he appeared intoxicated and could not answer simple questions.

The officer was able to identify the man with an ID in his front left pocket. The subject was taken into protective custody.
