Warren Wayne Cook, 90, of Vega, Texas, died Thursday, June 16, 2005.
He was born on May 10, 1915, in Moundridge, Kan., to Bert and Bertha Cook.
He moved to Texas where he farmed and ranched. After many years in Texas he moved to New Mexico where he and his sons owned Cook’s Truck Center.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, Elmer, Clayton, and Wayne Cook; and his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Marty Cook of Vega, Texas; two sons, Darrell Cook (and wife, Debbie) of Farwell and Doug Cook (Tonya) of Clovis; a daughter, Kay McGehee (Jerald) of Santa Fe; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Steve Cox will officiate the services.
A private burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega.
Honorary pallbearers are Keith Cook, Ken Carpenter, Mitch McGehee, Kolt Merren, Kory Ben, Satchel Ben, and Mark Morris.
