LeRoy Weeden, 82, of Clovis, died Monday, June 13, 2005, at V.A. Medical Center in Amarillo.
He was born on Dec. 29, 1922, in Tunika, Miss., to Joseph and Etha Lee Weeden.
He served in the U.S. Army during Word War II. He married Estrella Maria Manluluyo on Sept. 19, 1979, in Clovis. He worked for the U.S. Post Office in Chicago, food service at mess hall on Cannon Air Force Base, and as a janitor at Excel. He attended the First Church of God in Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Leeafter, Joseph, Robert, Samuel and James Weeden; and three sisters, Kathryn and Corine Weeden, and Elizabeth Palmer.
Survivors include his wife; a son; LeRoy Weeden Jr. of Clovis; two daughters, Tina Hall of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Lee Hutchins of Clovis; a brother, Rogers Weeden of Chicago; a sister, Margaret Turner of Bellwood, Ill.; and six grandchildren, Christina Baiza, Michael Lee Gilliland, Bryan Lee Hutchins, Nikole Lee Weeden and Aaquices and Nyesha Hall.
W. Charles Green will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
Pallbearers are LeRoy Weeden Jr., Vincent Colmes, Edward Yankovich, Marcos Standley and Marlan Hall.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home Clovis.
