CCC holding aid awareness workshop
The Clovis Community College hopes to increase awareness of the world of financial aid through two Aug. 8th workshops, according to a CCC press release. The workshops are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Ingram Room of the Clovis-Carver Public Library.

The workshops will outline procedures for filling out financial aid paperwork and are intended, the press release said, for anyone interested, even those not planning on attending CCC. For more information, contact 769-4924.

Immunization should be up-to-date
Director of Health Services for the Clovis Municipal School District Rhonda Sparks reminded parents to check up on the immunization records of their children, in a press release from the district. All students, the release said, are required by law to provide proof of up-to-date immunization records in order to attend school.

Kindergarten through third grade students are required to have had the Varicella vaccine or the chicken pox disease; completion of the three-dose Hepatitis B vaccine series is required of all children in grades K-3, as well as for students in grades seven through 12, according to information provided by the release. Two Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccines are required for students in grades K-12. For more information, call 935-0011.
