Mrs. Margaret Evelyn Miller, 84, of Clovis, died Saturday, July 23, 2005, at her home.
She was born on April 9, 1921, in McQueen, Okla., to Vernon and Lillie Wise.
She married Carrol D. Miller on March 5, 1940, in Clovis. During World War II she moved to California and worked as a riveter for an aircraft company. She was a member of First Christian Church, Swing Wings Square Dance Club and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers Women’s Auxiliary.
Family members said she was an avid rock collector, loved to bowl and go camping with her family in the mountains.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Carroll David Miller Jr.; a sister, Doris Crist; and four brothers, Calvin Wise and Howard, George and Frank Lane.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Jean Northcott of Topeka, Kan.; a son, Philip Eugene Miller (and wife, Judie) of Topeka; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Ron Eggleton and Jon Forrest will officiate the services.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
