Edward James McKenna Jr., 82, of Clovis, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales.
He was born on Sept. 5, 1922, in Baltimore, to Edward J. Sr. and Margaret Legg McKenna.
He married Philamean M. Talbott on May 30, 1947, in Baltimore. He retired from the Air Force after serving in World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was a member of the Clovis/Portales Elks, VFW Post 3280, American Legion Post 25, Order of the Cootie, Disabled American Veterans and Cannon Air Force Base Chapel.
Family members said he loved sports, football and Atlanta Braves baseball.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Raymond D. McKenna and Steven W. McKenna, both of Clovis, and Edward J. McKenna III of Newark, Ill.; a sister, Margaret Sawyer of Baltimore; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Deacon Daniel Chavez will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Sunset Terrace Cemetery in Farwell.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
