Garry Eugene Snyder, 62, of Maybank, Texas, on Thursday Aug. 4, 2005.
Born in Clovis, he moved with his family to Wichita Falls, Texas, in the late 1950s. He graduated from Bethany Nazarene College (Southern Nazarene University) in 1965 and earned a master’s degree in public administration in 1976.
He served as a military officer and a pilot in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He completed his career as a major in the Army Reserves.
He worked as a computer consultant in the Dallas area.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Glen Edward Snyder and Lavonne Ruth Carnes, and his grandparents, Lester R. and Alma B. Snyder.
He is survived by his wife 14 years, Sylvia; two daughters, Jennifer Kulzer and Nikki Wichlei; two step-sons, Curtis Bevill and Jason Bevill; eight grandchildren, Clayton and Avery Kulzer, Grant and Ian Wichlei, and Key, Logan, Leah and Jacob Bevill; his mother, Lavonne Carnes Snyder Harmon; and a sister, Glenda (Katie) Kimbro; and a brother, D. Darel Snyder.
There will be a viewing at 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
