Richard Dean Hoadley Sr., 76, of Midland, Texas, died Monday, Aug. 15, 2005.
He was born on June 22, 1929, in Sparland, Ill., to Ivan and Goldie Reay Hoadley.
He was raised and educated in Clovis. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1946 until 1948. He married Shirley Patterson on Feb. 14, 1976, in San Angelo, Texas. Prior to his retirement, he worked with Seismic Reference Service, B&R Inspection and had a contract position with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of South Memorial Baptist Church and Cotton Flat Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard Dean Hoadley Jr. of Alva, Okla. and Gary Michael Hoadley of Clovis; five daughters, April Ray Robinson of Midland, Texas, Tracey Diane Poarch of Rowlett, Texas, Willie Ruth Hoadley of Clovis, Jackie Ann Martin of Friona, Texas, and Vickie Evon Leggett of Georgetown, Texas; four grandsons; seven granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; a mother-in-law; and numerous sisters- and brothers-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at 3 (CDT) p.m. Friday at Belvedere Cemetery in San Angelo, Texas.
Pallbearers are Richard Stovall, George Woody, Johnny Phillips, James Davis, James Spratt and Derek Totedo.
Honorary pallbearer is Jim Bob Green.
