Elmer Milton Langford, 95, of Farwell, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at Farwell Convalescent Center.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1909, in Kirk, to Jason and Susan Langford.
He married Ogetha Maye Gann on Nov. 25, 1931, in Clovis. He was raised, went to school and farmed in the Pleasant Hill. He was a member of the American Hereford Association, the New Mexico Hereford Association, and a registered Hereford breeder since 1939.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ogetha Maye; two sisters; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Leon Langford (and wife, Suzy) of Morris, Okla., and Delvin Langford (Janie) of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Carolyn Henard (Oscar) of Tatum; a sister, Vera Williams of Conchas Dam; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Bill Bridwell will officiate and Gary Johnson handle the eulogy.
Burial will be at Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery in Farwell.
Pallbearers are Mac and Watson Langford, Rusty Henard, Luke Richards, and Keith and Clayton Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Mexico Girls and Boys Ranches.
