Mrs. Rita Armijo Dodge, 73, of Clovis, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born Aug. 17, 1932, in Clovis to Juan and Margaret Armijo. She married Miguel Dodge on Feb. 1, 1964, in Clovis.
Family members said she loved playing Bingo, jigsaw and word-search puzzles, shopping, watching Spanish programs and spending time with family. She was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Rose Sandoval; a son, Raymond Dodge; six grandchildren, Victor Estrada, Mark Dodge, Regina McCollum, Joe Gallegos Jr., David Dodge Jr. and Andrea Gallegos.
She is survived by her husband; six sons, Michael Dodge (and wife, Patsy) of Clovis, George Dodge (Karen) of Clovis, David Dodge (Sandy) of Dephew, Okla., Terry Dodge (Anna) of Clovis, Ruben Dodge (Tamara) of Princeton, Ind., and Tommy Montoya (Victoria) of Clovis; four daughters, Martina Garcia (Freddy) of Littleton, Colo., and Joann Montoya (Raymond Lasater) of Tulsa, Okla., Loretta Garduno (Andy) of Irving, Texas and Margaret Lopez (Tommy) of Clovis; a brother; 62 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren
The Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis
Pallbearers are Ruben Dodge, David Dodge, Mike Dodge, Jessie Estrada, Andrew Garduno and T. J. Lopez.
