Mr. Elmer Carl Jones, 70, of Clovis, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at his home in Clovis.
He was born Oct. 7, 1935, in Clovis to Robert and Lou Ellen Jones.
He married Gail Dunn on March 30, 1957, in Clovis. He was a lifelong Clovis-area resident. He went to school in Ranchvale. He owned and operated Jones Electric Motor Co.
Family members said he enjoyed farming, fishing and his family. He was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, J.E. Jones; five sisters, Mabel Michaels, Oleta Jones, Kathern Kershanda, Paulena Long and Gladys Binning.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Larry Carl Jones (and wife, Connie) of Clovis; a daughter, Glena Cooper (Duce) of Levelland, Texas; three granddaughters, Whitney Lynch (Shaun), Mallory Cooper and Alexi Jones; a grandson, Dalton Carl Jones; a sister, Louise Nickel of Diamond, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Van McCormick will officiate services.
Burial will take place at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
Pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are Don McCasland, Larry Dunn, Denzil Dunn, Monte Matlock, Eddie Damron, Joe Sealey, Frank Blackburn and Pete Davis.
Memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice
