Vanice Nell Lovett, 69, of Snyder, Texas, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at her residence.
She was born May 30, 1936, in Clovis. She graduated from Clovis High School and Eastern New Mexico University. She taught school in Snyder and Morton, Texas, and at the Zuni Reservation in New Mexico.
She is survived by a brother, Barry Lovett (and wife, Juanell) of Chillicothe, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Linda Lovett of Logan; aunts and uncles, Troy and Nell Lovett of Pleasant Hill, Maureen and Lowery Winkles of Clovis and Joyce and Roy Lovett of Clovis; two nephews, Jerry Lovett (Genia) of Wausau, Wis., and Leo Lovett (Amy) of Portales; four nieces, Rita May (Arthur) of Chillicothe, Ohio, Londa Larkin (Loren) of Plano, Texas, Kayla Hawes (Kenny) of Clovis and Katie Phelan (Jim) of Syracuse, N.Y.; and many grand-nephews and nieces and cousins.
Tommy Culwell of Colonial Hill Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will take place in Lawn Haven Cemetery in Clovis with Rev. Gene Christian officiating.
