Charlene Graef Phillips, 69, of Clovis died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005. at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital in Amarillo.
She was born Sept. 1, 1936, to Clayton C. and Edith Williams Graef in Olton, Texas. She married Gene Phillips March 17, 1955, in Olton. She was a financial director for Mental Health Resources, a member of the Community of Christ, and of the Sunrise Optimist Club. She attended Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa.
Family members said she loved to sew.
She is preceded in death by her father; a brother, Clayton Ray Graef; and a sister, Reta Welch.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Sandy Davis of Clovis; five sons, Jerry Dwayne Phillips (and wife, Dena) of Plainview, Texas, Bobby Glen Phillips (Suzanne), Charles Ray Phillips (Debbie), all of Amarillo, Steven Eugene Phillips and Johnathan Derek Phillips (Debbie), all of Clovis; a mother, Edith Graef of Clovis; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Bruce Darrington will officiate services. Burial was at the Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
