A 48-year-old Texico man was arrested Thursday night following an altercation at 212 Sheldon Street in which two people were transported to the hospital and treated for stab wounds.
Gilbert Ortiz of Texico, who was found at 509 E. Grande, was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center on Thursday with stab wounds to his face, chest, torso and groin, according to a release from the Clovis Police Department.
He was is being held on a $5,500 cash bond at the Curry County Adult Detention Center on charges of concealing identification and aggravated battery, according to jail officials.
Steve Madrigal, 50, of Clovis, one of five subjects located at 212 Sheldon, sustained a cut to his forearm. He was treated and released from Plains Regional Medical Center Thursday night, Clovis Police Lt. James Schoeffel said.
Police took the other four subjects at 212 Sheldon to the police station for questioning.
Police were first called to 519 E. Grande about 9 p.m. Thursday for a report of a stabbing and later found blood in several rooms at the residence on Sheldon, the report said.
