Clovis man sentenced in robbery

A 23-year-old Clovis man was convicted Wednesday of aggravated burglary and kidnapping and sentenced to eight years of prison, according to a release from the Ninth Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

Frankie Owen and two others robbed an elderly Clovis woman’s home while she was still in the residence, according to the police.

The 81-year-old victim broke free, ran outside to the street and got help from neighbors, according to the release.

The co-defendants were previously sentenced for their part in the crime, according to the release.
