Turner L. Paine, 88, of Clovis, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
He was born Sept. 6, 1917, in Nocona, Texas to Freddie Lee and Cora Hancock Paine.
He married Bonnie Jean Kepley Dec. 22, 1939, in Bovina, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Farwell before moving to Clovis in 2000. He farmed, worked as a carpenter and was an independent truck driver. He was a member of Oklahoma Lane Methodist Church.
Family members said he was a family man and a Champion Old Time Fiddler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son, Michael Paine; two infant sons, Spencer Glenn Paine and Fred Thomas Paine; and brother,Thomas Glenn Paine.
Survivors include his daughters, Chris Moore (and husband Nathan) of Clovis and Velda Jolley of Clovis; daughter-in-law, Anne Paine of Richmond Hills, Ga.; sister, LaVerne Long of Riverside, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be all his friends and neighbors.
