Joann “Granny” Moore, 68, of Clovis, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales.
She was born March 8, 1937, in Litchfield, Ariz. to Pete and Ruth Simmons.
She was raised in the Ranchvale and Clovis area. She married Billy Ray Moore on Feb. 1, 1956, in Clovis. She was a bartender for many years before retiring from Walgreens after 25 years.
Family members said she enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her yard and dancing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Eddie Ray Moore; a brother, Dale Simmons; and two sisters, June Stevenson and Annabell Hendricks.
Survivors include two daughters, Pattie Carlile of Loving and Deanna Moore of Clovis; six grandchildren, Tonya, Bobby, Brandi, Cheri, Marissa and Isaac; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie Simmons and Randy Simmons, both of Showlow, Ariz.; and two sisters, Ginger Stevenson of Atlanta, Ga., and Debbie Dayhoff of Clovis.
Ron Eggleton will officiate.
Burial will take place at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis.
