John A. Shuflat, 66, of Clovis, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born May 6, 1939, in Malden, Mass., to Frank and Nettie Shuflat.
He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion in Clovis. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1958, and served 20 years as an aircraft electrician. In 1983 he married Rosemary Schmidt in Clovis. Family members said he enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing, and that he never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ronnie Shuflat.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Chandra (David) Wilkinson of Phoenix; son, Greg Shuflat of Clovis; three grandchildren, Dylan Wilkinson of Phoenix, and Jeremy and Matthew Shuflat both of Wichita, Kan.; and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place.
