Thelma Henderson, 89, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2006 in Athens, Texas.
She was born Feb. 7, 1916, in Windham, Texas.
She worked as a nurse and lived in Tyler, Texas, for 14 years. She also served as the director of nurses at the Clovis Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Henderson.
She is survived by three daughters: Suzanne Orbison of Lake Palestine, Texas, Betty Pose of Athens, Texas, and Gloria Henderson of Albuquerque; two sons, James Michael Henderson of Plainview, Texas, and Walter Scott Henderson of Hudson, Fla; a brother, John Curtis of Lubbock; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Alfred Darst and Rev. Herbert Bergstrom will officiate services.
Visitation will be this morning at Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 633 N. Broadway Avenue, Tyler, Texas 75052.
