Transportation dept. launches DWI blitz
The New Mexico Department of Transportation launched a February Super Blitz on Friday, which consists of more DWI checkpoints, increased law enforcement and a pumped up media campaign throughout the state, according to a release from the NMDOT.
NMDOT encourages New Mexicans to program the Drunk Buster Hotline into cell phone, and call when drunken drivers are assumed to be on the road, the release said.
Suspected drunk driver’s can be reported by calling toll free (877) DWI-HALT, according to the release.
