Ida Mae McDaniel, 94, of Ennis, Texas, died Jan. 24, 2006, at the Ennis Care Center in Ennis.
She was born July 25, 1911, in Barry, Texas to Sidney Lee and Sarah Myrtle Mitchell.
She attended school in Barry, Texas, and lived there and in Corsicana, Texas, until she married Lawrence McDaniel of Texico on Feb. 24, 1963. They resided in Texico for many years where they farmed. After his health began to decline, they moved to Clovis. She lived there until about a year ago.
She was a longtime member of Central Christian Church.
She was preceded death by her in husband on March 30, 1999; a sister, Theo Ruth Ragsdale; and a brother, Jesse Bob Mitchell.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Alta Lou Kimmons of Winston Salem, N.C., and Winona Porter of Woodburn, Ore; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A viewing for family and friends will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Steed-Todd Funeral Home.
The Rev. Michael Johnston will officiate services.
Burial will be at the Texico Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ben Kilmer, Lewis Heisch, Randy Brian and Gene Woodcock.
