Bill R. Williams, 79, of Clovis, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at his home.
He was born Nov. 28, 1926, in Lamesa, Texas, to Mae and Thorpe Williams.
He was a farmer and rancher in the Clovis area and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Nadine Grimes, Delia Fogland and Barbara Martin; and a brother, Bert Williams.
He is survived by his wife Joy Williams of the home; three sons, Mike Williams (and wife, Carol) of Clovis, Rick Williams (CarylAnn) of Las Cruces and Sean Williams (Lucinda); two daughters, Cynthia Scoggins (Michael) of Austin, Texas, and Rebecca DeCorse (Chuck) of Tucson, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd Williams of Dalhart, Texas; a sister, Christine Hughes of Amarillo; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews; and a host of friends.
The Rev. Wayne Salguero of Clovis and Dr. James Giles of Dallas, Texas, will officiate.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Building Fund.
