Darla M. Lantz-Casados, 48, of Los Alamos, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006.
Family members said she was a giving and creative person who enjoyed life to its fullest. She enjoyed painting, photography, creating flower arrangements, snow skiing, bicycling, and sports.
Family members said her greatest pleasure in life was being a grandmother. She was a member of the Nazarene Church of White Rock. She was employed by Espanola Sports Medicine. Prior employment included floral manager at Smith’s Food and Drug in Los Alamos.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Casados of Los Alamos; mother, Sylcia Lantz of Bosque Farms; two sons, David Patterson (and wife, Heather) of Los Alamos, and Kirt (Brandy) of Moab, Utah; a step-daughter, Dawnna Patterson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a step-son, Greg Casados of Los Alamos; grandchildren, Tristian, Kiaira, Paige, Jasmin, Kennedi and Kade; two sisters, Deborah Artiaga of Bosque Farms, and Dixie Lantz-Thompson of Cabot, Ark.; nephews, Clem and Dakota; nieces, Terecina and Summer; uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Lantz; sister, Doreen Malynn Lantz; and brother, Darr Michael Lantz.
