Maxine L. “Honey” Ingle, 75, of Clovis, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Retirement Ranch in Clovis.
She was born Aug. 3, 1930, to Bee and Annie Tims Lewis in Bradley, Okla., and married Walter Ingle on Sept. 4, 1949, in Estancia. She was a homemaker and also assisted her husband in the family business, Highland Drug, for 33 years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, worked in the library and sang in the choir. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed her grandchildren, according to family members. They said she was a wonderful seamstress who sewed many of the family clothes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Adam Burford.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Robin Burford of Texico, Shelly Coleman (and husband Ron) of Houston and Jamie Ingle of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Lindsey and Ross Burford, Holly Burkhall, Darcie Eswein, Mallory Ingle, Alleson and Ben Harris, one great-granddaughter, Kennedy Burkhall; and two sisters, Donna Durham of Clovis and Delores Noe of Fort Sumner.
Dr. Herbert Bergstrom will officiate services. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
Pallbearers will be Ross Burford, Ben Harris, Bobby Jack Stewart, Anthony Zaccardo, Brent Queener and Hebron Burkhall.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Mexico Baptist Children’s Home, 2200 South Avenue I, Portales, NM 88130.
