George R. Gonzales, 56, of Clovis died Friday, March 31, 2006.
He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and received numerous honors. Family members said he enjoyed life and was a great polka dancer.
They said he was always able to make others smile with his great sense of humor. He loved jewelry and wore it proudly, family members said.
He is survived by his wife, Lawanna; his daughters, Yolanda Rodriguez (and husband, Charlie) and Georgianna Tomer (Alex); his son, Russell Gonzales; four grandchildren, Kristina, Desiree, Ellissya and Robert; his parents, Isidro and Margaret Gonzales; his siblings, Joseph (Dianna), Patricia (Anthony), Mely, Frank (Melissa) and Isidro (Elaine); his stepsons, Brent and Brian Toliver; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Mary Davis; and many other family members and friends.
Joseph, Melisendro, Frank, Isidro Jr., Russell and Daniel Navarro served as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by Direct Funeral Services, Albuquerque.
