Kyle Sean McDonald, 37, died Friday, April 7, 2006, in Beaumont, Texas. Born in Houston on Nov. 28, 1968, he grew up in Portales, where he attended elementary, junior high and high school. He graduated from Grossmont High School in San Diego in 1987 and attended Lamar University in Beaumont, where he was a longtime resident. He worked as a welder for Chicago Bridge & Iron, and had recently opened a business, AAA Movers, in Beaumont.
Family members said they will remember his humor, honesty and loyalty to his family and friends, and he will be missed.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Marilyn Maness Mehaffy and George L. Mehaffy, formerly of Portales and currently of Chevy Chase, Md.; his father, K. Scott McDonald of Houston; his brother, K. Scott McDonald III of San Diego; his grandmothers, Evelyn H. McDonald of Beaumont and Frances Maness McArthur of Marble Falls, Texas; an aunt; an uncle; his cousins; and many friends in Portales and the Beaumont area.
Cremation has occurred. His ashes were interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Beaumont.
