Clovis High athletic director Brian Stacy said Thursday he hopes to begin interviews for open coaching positions next week.

CHS is seeking head coaches in cross country, girls soccer and boys tennis. Stacy said principal Jody Balch will try to do interviews for teaching positions on Monday.

“I’d like to do (coaching) interviews the first couple of days of next week,” Stacy said. “I’d like to have all the positions filled by the end of the month.”

In addition to the head coaching jobs, the school is looking to fill two assistant positions in track and in volleyball and one each in girls soccer, swimming, football, softball and baseball.

Billie Merritt has been the head coach in boys and girls tennis for the past couple of years, and will continue as girls head coach, Stacy said.

Stacy coached cross country before taking over as athletic director in December.
