Albert G. Henry, 67, of Logan, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, at Trigg Hospital in Tucumcari.
He was born Sept. 18, 1938, in Lakeview, Texas, to Mamie James Henry. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1956 and lived in Logan for 44 years. He served on the Logan School Board for 14 years, including as president. He also served on the Logan City Council for four years and was mayor of the village for four years. He was active in the Logan Chamber of Commerce, serving as president for one term.
He was a rancher, and family members said he was instrumental in the economic development of Ute Lake. He retired from Ute Lake Estates, a family-owned real estate development company.
Family members said he was also an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
He is survived by his father of Tucumcari; two daughters, Shelley Wallin (and husband, Larry) of Logan and Glena Lutton of Clovis; two grandsons, Cole Wallin of Logan and Cameron Stallings of Clovis; a brother, Elmo Henry of Chelan, Wash.; and a special friend, Yvonne Brazil of Tucumcari.
Cremation has taken place.
Honorary pallbearers will be family, close friends and his golfing buddies.
The family suggests memorials be made to Emergency Medical Services, Village of Logan, Logan, NM 88426.
