Dietitian honored as year’s outstanding
Judy Cox of Clovis was recognized as Outstanding Dietitian of the Year by the New Mexico Dietetic Association, according to a news release from the association.
Cox is a consultant dietitian for La Casa Family Health Centers, the coordinator of the Area IV Consulting Dietitian Practice Group of the American Dietetic Association and secretary of the NMDA board.

She was recognized for distinguishing herself through commitment, hard work and leadership, according to the news release.

Clovis radio station gets top honors
Clovis radio station KTQM-FM has been named Station of the Year by the New Mexico Broadcasters Association, according to a news release from the station.
KTQM, owned by Curry County Broadcasting, was selected for the top honor in the 2006 NMBA Excellence in Broadcasting Awards from stations in New Mexico cities of similar size to Clovis.

The Clovis station also received three other awards: best 30-second commercial, for an announcement created by Jennifer Brandon, producer in the creative services department, for Holmberg Jewelry; best newscaster, for morning show host Grant McGee; and best public service announcement, by McGee for the United Way of Eastern New Mexico.

Broadcasters outside New Mexico were judges.
