Clovis police on Monday arrested a man suspected in a string of weekend robberies at Clovis convenience stores.

Samuel Eaton, 23, was charged in connection with three Allsup’s store robberies that took place between 4:30 a.m. Sunday and 3:30 a.m. Monday.

Police said he was arrested in the alley behind the Allsup’s at 1020 Mitchell St. early Monday. That store was the first and last robbed, police said.

The Allsup’s at 1320 Prince St. was also robbed, about 11 p.m. Sunday night, police said.

Witnesses in all three robberies reported the suspect was a man with a knife.
Eaton is being held at the Curry County Adult Detention Center on a $65,000 bond.
He is charged with robbery and two counts of assault to commit a felony, according to detention center officials.
