CHS BOYS SOCCER: Cats improve to 10-2-1 with shutout win

ROSWELL — Clovis junior forward Luis Esparza tallied three assists and one goal in the Wildcats 5-0 route over Roswell Goddard Saturday afternoon.

Clovis coach Shaun Gill said the Cats dictated the pace of the game in both halves. The Wildcats scored three first-half goals, with Esparza scoring the second and assisting on the first and third.

Senior forward Scott Elliott scored his team-leading 13th goal of the season in the 38th minute of the first half. Elliot also earned an assist after feeding Esparza for a goal in the 20th minute of the first half.

The victory gives Clovis its best record under Gill at 10-2-1.
