Senior Fair, hosted by VistaCare Hospice
Who: Open to the public, free of charge. Seniors and anyone involved with seniors are encouraged to attend.
What: An informational fair providing community resources for seniors.
Where: Clovis-Carver Library, North Annex
When: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday
Jackie Lara, public relations director for VistaCare Hospice, said the fair is geared toward acquainting senior citizens with the wide variety of resources available to them in the community.
“We decided to do a fair because there are so many seniors that complain about not knowing what’s out there,” she said.
Agencies will be on hand to discuss educational opportunities, health care, entertainment and recreation, and a slew of other topics, Lara said.
There will also be a raffle and door prizes, according to Lara.
By the numbers: 30 or more businesses and agencies will be on hand to share information.
