A Curry County man will serve 20 years in prison for sexually molesting two children, according to a release from the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s office.
Jesse Ray Jones, 37, was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to criminal sexual penetration of a minor under the age of 13 and criminal sexual contact of a minor, the release said.
According to the release, Jones was arrested in July 2004 after the Curry County Sheriff’s office received a report Jones had performed sexual acts on two children under age 13.
Jones will be required to serve 85 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole, the released said. When eligible, he will serve five to 20 years supervised parole and will be required to register as a sex offender, the release said.
