Warrants sought in alleged school assault

Police are seeking arrest warrants for two junior high male students after a female junior high student reported being assaulted by them, according to a police report.

A female student told Gattis Junior High School Assistant Principal Tamara Callahan she was leaving school on Oct. 30 when two boys approached her and began touching her, trying to put their hands up her shirt, the report said.

According to the report, the girl said one of the boys had attempted to put his hands up her shirt earlier in the day in the gym. She told Callahan she became angry and began kicking the boys, the report said.

Callahan notified police of the incident Nov. 10, the report said. The officer indicated he would seek arrest warrants for battery.
