Officers responding to a domestic dispute report arrested a Portales man on a federal drug trafficking warrant in the early morning hours Thursday, according to police reports.
Victor Sotelo, 24, was arrested and booked at the Curry County Adult Detention Center on the trafficking warrant and charges of evading police, the documents read. He is being held without bail, jail officials said.
Clovis Police officers responding to a call spoke with occupants of an apartment in a building in the 1300 block of Beta Street, who told police they were having a party and had gotten loud, the report said.
During the conversation, Sotelo ran out of the apartment. Officers caught him and returned to the apartment, where they discovered he was wanted on a federal warrant for trafficking cocaine. They also found a bag of marijuana in a closet, according to police documents.
